One day (4 hours) saw sharpening course

During this one-day practical course you will learn how to resharpen your favourite saws, saw tooth geometry, saw sharpening basics such as jointing, filing and setting teeth and how to fine tune your sharpened saw. We will also explain different types and grades of woodworking saws.

This one-to-one course is intensive but also informal and accommodating.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided. We will also advice you on what you will need and where to purchase all specialist tools and equipment to continue with saw sharpening on your own.

Normally this course runs for 4 hours with as many breaks as you’d need. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.

After completing this course you will go home with practical knowledge of how to sharpen your saws for fine enjoyable woodworking.

Please note,
this course covers only woodworking saws used in carpentry, cabinet and furniture making. It does not cover large crosscut and two-men saws, or similar, dedicated to tree felling and other green woodworking applications.
